Job description: About the RoleAs an Advanced Packaging Technician, you'll dive into the critical world of product preparation and safety at our Dekalb, Ewing, and Cherokee St. Louis centers. Your role involves troubleshooting, monitoring, and performing minor maintenance on both automated and semi-automated machines, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.Key Responsibilities
- Champion safety protocols and motivate your colleagues to do the same.
- Maintain impeccably clean and safe packaging environments throughout your shift.
- Ensure precise documentation according to FDA, ISO, and GMP standards as you move products to inventory.
- Expertly handle filling, capping, labeling, and over-packing for various product forms.
- Operate and maintain manual and semi-automated packaging machinery.
- Lead on custom fill projects that require a nuanced touch.
- Document equipment usage and production data diligently; input information into SAP.
- Rely on comprehensive written protocols including SOPs and batch records.
- Address and resolve identified safety and process issues swiftly.
- Adhere rigorously to ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Assist with additional departmental tasks when needed.
Physical Demands
- Stand for long hours, up to 8 hours per shift.
- Comfortably lift and transfer up to 50 pounds, using equipment or assistance as necessary.
- Wear appropriate protective gear, such as respiratory masks and protective suits.
Shift DetailsThis opportunity is for the 2nd shift: Monday-Thursday, from 1:30 pm to 12:00 am.Essential TraitsMinimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of experience in chemical weighing or packaging.
- Experience with automated filling systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years in chemical or manufacturing packaging.
- Experience in regulated environments (ISO/GMP).
- Strong math skills with proficiency in metrics and conversions.
- Solid mechanical skills including the use of pumps and balances.
- Effective troubleshooting abilities with packaging equipment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in basic computing (SAP, Microsoft Word, etc.).
