Ticket/Gate Agent (Customer Service Agent) - IND

About the position

As a Ticket/Gate Agent at Delta, you will play a vital role in ensuring that cargo is transported on time and safely. This entry-level position is designed for individuals who are eager to start their careers in the airline industry. You will be the first point of contact for customers, greeting them warmly and guiding them through the ticketing and baggage check-in process. Your responsibilities will include managing the check-in and boarding processes, making gate announcements, and ensuring that customers have the necessary travel documentation. In addition to customer service, you will be responsible for physically handling baggage, which may involve tagging and lifting bags weighing up to 70 pounds. You will operate loading bridges, open and close aircraft doors, and escort unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, with shifts ranging from early morning to overnight, and you will work between 20 and 40 hours per week based on your seniority.
