As an Independent Contractor Psychiatrist, you will provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for clients across our three outpatient clinic locations (travel between locations is required). You will utilize our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, Welligent, for all documentation, including progress notes, treatment planning, and electronic prescribing. This role requires a commitment to collaborative care, working closely with psychotherapists and the outpatient administrative team.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations (30-45 minutes) to determine diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Provide medication management assessments (15-20 minutes) and document according to state regulations.
- Review and sign client treatment plans, offering feedback to psychotherapists as needed.
- Utilize Welligent EHR for comprehensive documentation and electronic prescribing.
- Collaborate with psychotherapists, offering consultation and support.
- Attend a minimum of two clinic team meetings per month.
- Communicate effectively regarding diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and client progress with treatment team members, patients, and families.
- Maintain professional development, meeting continuing education requirements and participating in applicable professional organizations.
- Manage psychiatric emergencies and address medication-related issues, including prior authorization requests.
- Uphold client confidentiality and adhere strictly to all HIPAA guidelines.
- Communicate professionally with insurers, employers, government agencies, and other healthcare providers when warranted.
