- Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Ability to communicate in English and Portuguese fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
- Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working on tech, social media, public policy, or associated trust and safety issues.
- Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or in a scripting/programming language (e.g. Python).
- Experience in machine learning.

As a Market Responsibility Specialist supporting the Brazil market, you will be responsible for ensuring that we are constantly enhancing our understanding of regional and local trends and risks on YouTube. You will proactively monitor trends and intelligence sources, help to launch new product features with market and language knowledge and ensure our enforcement guidelines are informed by your market knowledge.
You will help implement and enforce our policies across millions of pieces of content videos, as well as define and implement operational plans globally, liaising and working with stakeholders in areas like Product Management, Engineering, Vendor Operations, Analytics, Public Policy, PR, Partnerships and Legal. This role may review graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive video content during team escalations in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,500-$130,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Responsibilities
- Monitor intel sources, work with cross-functional teams, and leverage native Brazil to identify abuse trends in the market, monitor emerging sensitive events, and highlight risks to the YouTube ecosystem and Trust and Safety.
- Support language detection, automation, language quality improvements, and local product launches.
- Support workstream prioritization based on in context, political, and regulatory knowledge of the Brazil YouTube market.
- Triage threats and prepare risk assessments and action plans based on market knowledge, including regional events and escalations, and act as the main point of contact with local and international teams.
- Drive and support the launch of news related product features in the region.
