Responsibilities:
- We are looking for a Marketing Manager to join our Strategic Marketing Communications team. This role is responsible for managing all types of marketing communications projects -- both external and internal. You’ll have the opportunity to partner with other marketing professionals, our investment division and sales team. Mutual of America is a relationship-based company and appreciates how both virtual and in-person work experiences support our culture. This hybrid position will be based in our Boca Raton, FL office. Relocation package is available.
- Support and contribute to content development initiatives, from brainstorming concepts and developing messaging to writing and delivering final content
- Manage freelance copywriters, designers, and others on a project-by-project basis.
- Work cross-functionally with teams from the business, sales, and with peers across the firm.
- Manage integrated marketing programs including e-newsletters, campaigns and retirement plan participant education.
- Support new and creative approaches to drive awareness and growth of the sales pipeline.
- Conduct ongoing review and assessment of existing product support materials to ensure effectiveness, timeliness, and appropriateness with recommendations for improvement
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years relevant experience in the defined contribution/retirement industry.
- Strong communications skills, both oral and written; copywriting experience preferred.
- 5+ years of experience developing marketing material across all distribution channels.
- Excellent communicator and collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment.
- Ability to manage multiple agencies and freelancers to create and deliver compelling marketing material
- Proven project management skills with sharp attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of processes, procedures and systems linked to campaign execution.
- Excellent relationship management skills and team player attitude.
- Action-oriented nature and willingness to tackle challenges, proactively seek opportunities.
- Be customer centric, upbeat and willing to learn.
