Position: Patient Service Representative
Location: This is a remote position. However, remote work is a privilege, not an entitlement. Adherence to productivity and professionalism is required to maintain eligibility.
Schedule: M-F: 9am - 5:30pm MDT; 10am - 6:30pm CDT
Candidates must reside in one of the following states: AR, AZ, CO, IA, IL, IN, MN, MO, MS, ND, SD, and TX
Position Overview:
The Patient Service Representative plays a vital role in supporting a smooth and efficient patient experience by assisting with appointment scheduling and related inquiries. This position requires frequent interaction with patients and demands strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate will be organized, personable, and committed to delivering exceptional service at every touchpoint.
Key responsibilities include communicating effectively with patients, verifying personal and demographic information, maintaining accurate records, and scheduling procedures. The Patient Service Representative ensures all interactions are handled with professionalism and that services are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Job Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Answering and making calls consistently throughout the day
- Managing patient intake and scheduling appointments
- Collecting patient demographic and insurance information
- Accurately entering demographic and insurance data into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
- Addressing patient questions, inquiries, and concerns regarding their accounts
- Assisting with call screening and taking messages
- Ensuring insurance coverage meets requirements for scheduled services
- Communicating with referral sources to gather additional information or provide updates on patient scheduling
- Performing additional duties as needed or assigned
- No missed work, early leave, or late arrivals during a 90-day probationary period
- Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience in customer service, data entry, and scheduling
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Strong multitasking abilities
- Excellent time management skills
- Clear and effective communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work remotely with minimal distractions, maintaining an office-like environment
- Proven track record of excellent attendance in previous roles
- Reliable home internet connection with appropriate speeds for remote work

- Adhere to a 90-day probation period with no missed days, tardiness, or early departures.
