Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Utilize the 2010 ANA Nursing Process for executing the subsequent tasks:
- Gathers extensive information relevant to the health and circumstances of the healthcare user.
- Evaluates the assessment information to identify the diagnosis or concerns.
- Determining the anticipated results for a personalized plan tailored to the healthcare recipient in question.
- Formulates a strategy that outlines methods and options to achieve desired results.
- Executes the designated strategy. Confirms advancement of the patient within the strategy.
- Collaboration in Care facilitates the delivery of care.
- Health education and health promotion involve using tactics to encourage wellness and create a secure setting.
- Consultation involves advanced practice registered nurses and nursing role specialists offering guidance to impact the established strategy, improve the skills of individuals, and bring about transformation.
- Assesses the advancement made in achieving desired results.
- Adheres to the guidelines set forth by the American Nurses Association for Professional Performance in 2010:
- Nursing practice is improved and made more efficient through systematic methods

- The responsibilities of a Registered Professional Nurse are defined by the state where they work, and they must provide skilled and consistent care following established standards, policies, laws, and regulations set by accrediting bodies and certifying organizations.
- Adheres to the guidelines outlined in the Code of Ethics for Nurses (ANA 2010).
- Effectively utilizes relevant technological tools and software to accomplish tasks:
- Assist in recording and validating nursing tasks and patient care interventions.
- Utilize various work-related tools and resources essential for active participation within the organization, including accessing company emails, iLearn modules, employee feedback surveys, benefits details, and operational guidelines.
- Consistently looks for ways to enhance the standard of patient care by employing inventive and original approaches to problem-solving.
- Any additional tasks as required.
Additional Requirements
Required:
Education - Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
Certifications - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) - Within 60 days of hire or transfer; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing or Wyoming Board of Nursing for Wyoming facilities
Regarding BLS certification:
The department you are applying to may require BLS certification sooner than 60 days post transfer/hire. The hiring manager will discuss this with you if it is applicable.
Preferred:
Experience - 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience
Education - Bachelors degree in Nursing
Physical Requirements:
Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances. Requires the ability to work designated shift lengths (including 8 and 12 hours), which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours.
