How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The Manager – Crew Resources will be responsible for establishing the strategy, curriculum, and execution of learning development for Crew Resources.
This individual will lead a team tasked with developing tailored materials specific to Crew Resources Operations and will also leverage existing best practices across Delta’s extensive customer-facing divisions to improve pilot-crew resources interactions including call de-escalation, single point of resolution, and frontline leader leadership development.
- Responsibilities
- Establish the strategy, curriculum, and execution of learning development in line with Crew Resources strategic vision.
- Lead a team to develop tailored materials specific to Crew Resources functions.
- Teach curriculum when needed and be prepared to lead facilitations, training, and other learning opportunities.
- Lead the team to ensure the training lens is included in the user experience for all new technology deployments.
- Leverage feedback and other metrics to bring a data-drive approach to learning development, including survey results, assessments, and skill gap analyses.
- Continually work to invest in our team members, drive toward a consistency in execution, improve team morale and attract and develop strong performers.
- Ensure the training materials created are founded in the needs of the business, requiring each group to keep and maintain standard operating procedures that align with the training requested/needed by the customer.
- Determine appropriate delivery methods (online, in-person) and method of training (1 week in class, 1 week on the job training (repeated 4 x) vs. 4 weeks in class and then on the job training for 4 weeks) to address the needs of the teams.
- Provide learners the best chance of success to retain and then leverage the materials.
- Provide recommendations on how materials or complexities are best absorbed.
- Receive feedback from team and new employees on what is most effective and what areas have an opportunity for clarity or improvement, then execute on feedback.

- What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)
- Knowledgeable of learning theory, instructional design, delivery methods and best practices for training.
- Able to lead and teach a course
- Self-directed and highly motivated.
- Able to lead teams to deliver on challenging goals.
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of organization.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- 3 years job experience/education with Instructional Design or Education.
- Must have the aptitude to learn new technology and products quickly.
- Need to have exceptional writing and design skills, as well as strong editing skills; strong and transparent communication; and organization and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven organization.
- Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
- What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Instructional Design, Education, or equivalent job experience/education.
- Experience designing and developing in various modalities including Instructor Led, Interactive, virtual, blended, eLearning and interactive Multimedia and OJT course development.
- Demonstrated experience with usability principles is preferred.
- Experience with Graphic Design and web development
