About the position
As a Ticket/Gate Agent at Delta Air Lines, you will play a vital role in ensuring that cargo is transported safely and on time. This entry-level seasonal position involves greeting customers, assisting with ticketing and baggage check-in, and ensuring a smooth travel experience. You will be responsible for various tasks including managing the check-in and boarding processes, handling baggage, and providing assistance to passengers, including unaccompanied minors and those with disabilities.
- Responsibilities
- Owning the check-in process and boarding process. ,
- Making gate announcements and ensuring customers have accurate travel documentation. ,
- Tagging and lifting baggage from scales to conveyor belts, with some bags weighing up to 70 pounds. ,
- Operating loading bridges and managing aircraft doors. ,
- Escorting unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport.
- Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. ,
- At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States. ,
- Proficiency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills. ,
- Basic digital literacy and ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT). ,
- Ability to hold airport specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
