About the position As a Ramp Agent at Delta Air Lines, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of cargo and baggage. This entry-level position involves physical tasks such as loading and unloading bags, operating ground equipment, and safeguarding cargo from damage. The role requires a commitment to safety and teamwork, with opportunities for career advancement through mentorship from leaders. Responsibilities • Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft. , • Guide incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions to ensure timely connections. , • Safeguard cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather. , • Drive and operate ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in congested areas. , • Operate baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage. Requirements • Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data. , • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. , • Be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States. , • Have a valid driver's license. , • Proficiency in English is required. , • Pass a physical ability test (PAT). , • Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
