Senior Manager, Talent Readiness and Education Programs

The Learning & Talent Solutions COE Career Development team is responsible for the development and management of various global programs focused on employee skill development, including Disney Aspire and the salaried education reimbursement program. The Career Development team is setting and implementing strategy for employees to reach their potential within The Walt Disney Company.

The Senior Manager will provide oversight and strategic direction to TWDC Education Programs, including Disney Aspire and any potential development of or enhancements to other education programs. The Senior Manager will also lead the development and execution of new programs, initiatives, and strategies for upskilling and reskilling in functional areas of need within TWDC. This individual will also support and align to additional career work through support of events, engagement opportunities, and talent sourcing and pipelining efforts.

    Responsibilities
  • Lead program management of Disney Aspire and Education Reimbursement.
  • Identify opportunities for new upskilling and reskilling programs across TWDC, supporting the strategic planning, development, launch, and ongoing execution of these programs.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and manage project plans/timelines, collaborating with key partners for strategic alignment across all career work.
  • Manage new and ongoing vendor relationships.
  • Understand, support, and manage to program budgets.
  • Champion positive and effective relationships with segment learning teams, global stakeholders, key partners (HR, TA, Communications, Legal), and functional business areas to align and execute on career programs.
  • Use data to identify skill gaps across TWDC and align to career areas of need.
  • Guide team through research and selection of internal and external content, ensuring alignment to TWDC strategies and expectations.
  • Lead a team of professionals, providing strategic guidance for project work; develop and mentor direct reports and extended Career Development team members.
  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership skills, taking a concept and working towards implementation.
    Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years’ experience in Career Development, Learning, HR, Education or related field.
  • 5+ years’ demonstrated leadership experience, including feedback and coaching.
  • Experience in strategy development or execution.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, integrated team environment with multiple priorities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and display flexibility and agility when faced with challenges or ambiguity.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong project and program management experience.
  • Ability to work with and analyze quantitative and qualitative data, including workforce metrics, talent acquisition metrics, and employee sentiment data.
  • Experience working with external vendors.
  • Proven strong experience in all MS Office Products.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strong relationships; strong partnering skills.
  • Proven capability to work with clients at all levels across business units.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving, decision-making skills and continuous improvement process skills.
    Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on global projects.
  • Experience with large scale projects.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related degree preferred.

The Walt Disney Company (Corporate)

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $165,700 to $202,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
