Job Summary:

The Data Integration Specialist plays a vital role in facilitating and managing data exchanges between our platform and external healthcare partners including TPAs and carriers. This position focuses on ensuring the accurate and timely receipt of claims and eligibility data necessary for our health data services. The ideal candidate brings strong technical aptitude combined with exceptional project management and communication skills to effectively coordinate with third-party data providers who may have varying levels of engagement. This role is critical for successful customer implementation and ongoing service delivery to our self-insured employer clients.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Integration Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with healthcare claims data, file transmission monitoring, and cross-organizational coordination. They should demonstrate strong technical troubleshooting abilities alongside excellent communication and follow-up skills. Proficiency in reviewing and reconciling data formats, building relationships with external stakeholders, and managing complex implementation timelines is essential. In this role, you will serve as the crucial link between our organization and the various TPAs/carriers that provide the data necessary for our services.

    Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor file transmissions from TPAs and carriers to ensure accurate and complete receipt of data
  • Troubleshoot data transmission issues and escalate appropriately to internal technical teams or external providers
  • Review and reconcile proposed file formats from TPAs/carriers against our system requirements
  • Coordinate with third-party data providers during customer onboarding to establish data feeds
  • Maintain detailed documentation of file specifications and integration requirements for each provider
  • Develop and maintain project plans for data integration activities with clear milestones and deadlines
  • Build and manage relationships with external stakeholders who may be reluctant partners
  • Communicate effectively through email, phone calls, and video meetings to resolve data exchange issues
  • Track and follow up on outstanding items with persistence and diplomacy
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security requirements for PHI/PII
    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare data management, integration, or related roles
  • Strong understanding of healthcare claims and eligibility data structures
  • Experience with file transmission protocols and data validation techniques
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for data review
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management abilities with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship management with external partners
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate technical and interpersonal challenges
  • Experience filing and tracking support tickets in technical environments
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with self-insured employers, TPAs, or health insurance carriers
  • Familiarity with healthcare claims data formats
  • Background in healthcare analytics or benefits administration
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements
  • Experience with data mapping and transformation concepts
  • Proficiency with project management tools
  • SQL or database query experience
