About the role
The Data Products team is looking for exceptional Software engineers to join our team. As part of this team you’ll be responsible for building Dremio parts and features which will power our ability to serve Data as Data Products assisted by AI. These are the set of features that allow Dremio customers to build confidence on the security, governance, freshness, and reliability of the data which then can be used as a product by its consumers.
- What you'll be doing
- Contribute to the software development cycle from inception, design, development, testing and deployment.
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Support Engineers, Solution Architects, etc. on new feature requests and updates to existing design.
- Work with open sources like Apache Arrow, OpenSearch, OpenLineage, Apache Iceberg, etc.
- Actively participate in code and design reviews to maintain exceptional quality and deepen your understanding of the system architecture and implementation
- Helping grow the team by participating in recruiting, mentoring and developing best practices
- What we're looking for
- B.S. or M.S in Computer Science or in a related technical field
- 4+ year of industry experience
- Fluency in Java, C++ or another modern language
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, multi-threaded and asynchronous patterns and their applications towards developing scalable systems
- Passion for quality, zero downtime upgrades, availability, resiliency, and uptime of the platform
- Experience developing scalable distributed systems and deploying, scaling, and managing microservices
- Bonus Points
- Hands on experience with Data, data pipelines, some form of data engineering
- Data Science and/or ML experience
- Experience with LLMs/agents
Return to Office Philosophy
Workplace Wednesdays - to break down silos, build relationships and improve cross-team communication. Lunch catering / meal credits provided in the office and local socials align to Workplace Wednesdays. In general, Dremio will remain a hybrid work environment. We will not be implementing a 100% (5 days a week) return to office policy for all roles.
