Loss Prevention (Security) Officer - Overnight
About the position
The Overnight Loss Prevention Officer at Omni Hotels & Resorts plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests and associates. This position involves patrolling the hotel premises, responding to emergencies, and enforcing hotel policies to maintain a secure environment. The officer will work overnight shifts and is expected to be professional, courteous, and vigilant in their duties.
Responsibilities
Visits all locations requiring special attention as frequently as required.

Performs Security Patrols and Lockdown of various areas of the Resort including restaurants, lobby areas, meeting spaces, guest floors, and back of house areas.

Assists with housekeeping calls and retrieves breakfast menus from guestroom doors.
,
Responds immediately to emergency incidents and security requests.
,
Ensures the safety of guests, associates, and hotel property at all times.
,
Reports in writing on all activities during each shift and delivers oral reports as directed by established security procedures.

Performs duties as assigned by the Director of Loss Prevention or Loss Prevention Supervisor.

Creates and maintains the highest standards of security, being professional in attitude, appearance, and application.

Monitors associates entering and leaving the hotel, collecting package passes and inspecting parcels.

Confiscates unauthorized parcels and notifies the Director of Loss Prevention and appropriate department head.

Checks all personnel entering the hotel and provides information and direction upon proper identification.
Requirements
Must be capable of extended periods of time on feet while patrolling the property or working a special detail.

Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs.
,
Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
,
Must live within 50 miles of the hotel.
,
Must remain professional and communicate effectively with both guests and other associates.
