About the position

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is seeking a skilled individual to join its risk discipline team. This role involves leading complex supervisory activities to assess and enhance risk management processes within banking organizations. The successful candidate will leverage advanced technical and supervisory skills to conduct thorough evaluations of risk management practices, participate in national reviews, and contribute to the development of supervisory standards and training.

Responsibilities
• Serve as examiner-in-charge or lead risk specialist on reviews of risk discipline and related activities.
,
• Participate on national horizontal reviews in a formal leadership role or as a material contributor.
,
• Demonstrate sound supervisory judgment and leadership skills in organizing, deploying, and managing assigned resources.
,
• Identify and assess institution-specific and industry risk levels, key developments, and trends.
,
• Prepare informative supervisory products and workpapers, effectively communicating findings to senior management and boards of directors.
,
• Work independently or in small teams on reviews both in-District and out-of-District.
,
• Perform continuous financial system supervision monitoring to understand various risk levels.
,
• Act as a subject matter expert for the Bank regarding risk discipline.
,
• Provide informed input through policy and supervisory guidance to enhance supervisory activities.
,
• Develop and deliver written analyses and presentations on institution-specific and industry trends.

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree required.
,
• 5+ years of related work experience for Examiner I.
,
• 7+ years of related work experience for Examiner II.
,
• 10+ years of related work experience in specialty area for Examiner Sr.
,
• Expert knowledge of regulations, procedures, and practices of bank examination.
,
• Advanced ability to perform independent research and project management.
,
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
,
• Expert problem-solving and analytical skills.
,
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
