Our company values diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we are devoted to being an equal opportunity employer. • *Location Requirement** Please note that this position is available exclusively for residents of Indiana. • *Key Responsibilities** • Review, prepare, and process prescription prior authorization requests and appeals. • Scan, index, and organize related documents, ensuring accurate updates to patient/member profiles. • Compile and assess medical notes from patients/providers to support authorization requests, reaching out for additional information as necessary. • Update claims systems with approved requests and notify patients/providers regarding their approval status. • Communicate denial decisions to patients/providers clearly, providing comprehensive rationale for each decision. • *Qualifications** • High school diploma or equivalent. • 1-2 years of pharmacy experience in settings such as retail, long-term care, or hospitals. • Valid Indiana Pharmacy Technician license. • National CPhT certification or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire. • Proficient in computer skills, data entry, and Microsoft Office suite. • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Customer-oriented mindset and self-motivated approach to tasks. • Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Commitment to our core values: Committed, Collaborative, Consultative, and Caring. • Ability to pass E-Verify, a criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug screen. • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet departmental goals. • *Preferred Qualifications** • Experience working with Medicaid or in government healthcare settings. • Previous experience working remotely. • Call center experience, including inbound/outbound calls in a pharmacy context.
