About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in assisting our customers with reservations, inquiries, and various travel-related concerns. Key Responsibilities

  • Complete data access and balancing functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our operations
  • Coordinate return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve issues promptly
  • Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and associated Accounting standard ledger balancing to provide seamless support
  • Work on member cases and projects assigned to you, utilizing your problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws
  • Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
  • Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns to maintain our financial records up-to-date
  • Process Stop Pays and Check Batching to ensure efficient payment processing
  • Complete daily balancing and department closing to ensure a smooth operation
  • Obtain information from members for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests
  • Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information to ensure accuracy and security
  • Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws and regulations to ensure compliance

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Intermediate Excel and Word skills

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous customer/member service experience
  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience
  • Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience

Skills, Licenses, and Certifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through work experience or education and hands-on use
  • Ability to work extended hours in support of business needs
  • Excellent customer service skills to provide top-notch support to our members
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and function as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-volume pressure
  • Ability to cross-train and perform any role assigned within the department
  • Ability to engage professionally with all personnel and members
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to self-motivate with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain excellent performance and attendance
