Job Overview

As a hybrid customer service representative, you will be responsible for communicating with borrowers regarding federal student loan programs, resolving customer inquiries, taking loan payments, and providing repayment options to student loan borrowers. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming borrower calls, chats, and make outbound calls in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring that all interactions are handled with care and attention to detail.
  • Counsel and inform borrowers of their repayment options, deferments, and forbearance eligibility, taking payments and updating the borrower's account in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Locate needed information and minimize the time borrowers would be put on hold, demonstrating a commitment to providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Maintain the security and privacy of the borrower to protect both the borrower and our partners, adhering to the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Work an 8-hour shift with a one 1-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks, managing your time effectively to meet the demands of the role.
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills, including the ability to type while talking and navigate multiple software systems with ease.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following essential qualifications and requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with some college or a bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment cognitive and personality assessment, which will be administered as part of our hiring process.
  • Must be able to obtain a Federal 5C Security Clearance and credit check, which is a requirement for this role.
  • Must live in or near the Dallas-Fort Worth area, as this position requires occasional on-site work.
  • Excellent organization, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Must have access to home internet with at least 10 mg capacity and a router for an ethernet cord, as well as a dedicated workspace that is free from noise and distractions.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a call center or remote work environment.
  • Knowledge of federal student loan programs and repayment options.
  • Experience with software systems and technology, including CRM systems and online platforms.
