GIS Analyst (Remote, US) AIP3874
                                Purpose:
Varies The GIS Analyst I is responsible for collecting, managing, and maintaining geospatial data that supports the company's engineering and infrastructure projects. This position leverages GIS platforms and tools to visualize, analyze, and share geospatial information with internal teams and external clients.
Responsibilities
Research, collect, and compile geospatial data from internal and external sources.
Edit, update, and maintain GIS datasets
Adhere to and maintain strict data schemas and version control practices.
Perform data exports, conversions, and format translations
Generate maps, dashboards, and web applications to visualize and communicate project data.
Provide technical support and guidance to GIS Technicians, Engineers, and Portal users.
Conduct QA/QC reviews to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
Maintain GIS system integrity and assist users in proper access and utilization.
Develop and document new workflows and system specifications for project or enterprise-level improvements.
Interact with clients and subcontractors to establish reliable data integration and transfer methods.
Utilize Geoprocessing tools for data analysis and automation.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geospatial Sciences, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
• Minimum 3-5 years of GIS experience, preferably in engineering, utilities, or telecommunications.
• Familiarity with spatial analysis, geoprocessing tools, and data modeling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to achieve results.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to balance high-level project objectives with detailed technical execution.

• Data accuracy and completeness rate
• Timeliness of GIS deliverables and map production
• User satisfaction with GIS tools and support
• Quality of documentation and adherence to schema standards
• Workflow efficiency and automation improvements
Exposure
• Regular collaboration with Engineering, Project Management, and Field Operations teams.
• Interaction with clients, subcontractors, and external data providers.
• Exposure to GIS systems, telecommunications infrastructure data, and mapping
technologies.

Physical Requirements:
• Primarily office-based with extended use of a computer.
• Must be able to sit for long periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• Occasional travel for training or team coordination may be required.
