Job Overview
As a remote customer service representative with blithequark, you will be responsible for assisting passengers with reservations, inquiries, and various travel-related concerns. This role involves working independently in a remote setting, using your excellent communication skills to provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities
- Complete data access and balancing functions to ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer transactions
- Coordinate return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve issues and minimize delays
- Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and associated accounting standard ledger balancing to ensure seamless operations
- Work on member cases and projects assigned to you, using your analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and improve processes
- Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws
- Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
- Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance
- Process Stop Pays and Check Batching to minimize errors and ensure timely processing
- Complete daily balancing and department closing to ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer transactions
- Obtain information from members for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests
- Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Deposit check returns, research member bad checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers
- Complete daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or GED, as well as intermediate Excel and Word skills. You should be comfortable working in a remote setting and have excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous customer/member service experience, as well as previous banking or Credit Union experience, is preferred. Experience with Episys/Symitar and processing wires is also desirable. If you have a passion for travel and excellent communication skills, you may be an ideal candidate for this role.
