As a Data Analyst, you'll play a critical role in helping us make sense of complex data sets, identify trends and patterns, and develop actionable insights that inform business decisions. Our team is passionate about data-driven storytelling, and we're looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm and can help us take our analysis to the next level. **Key Responsibilities** * Translate complex business questions into SQL, including exact cohorting, calculations, filtering criteria, and aggregations * Present complex patterns and driver analysis to a diverse range of stakeholders, from functional groups to executive audiences, through both oral presentations and written reports * Collaborate with other Analysis teams to assess the maintenance performance of key business initiatives across happy, commitment, and advertising areas * Develop and maintain functional dashboards in Tableau and Looker to track performance over time, enable effective exploratory analysis, and provide self-serve tools for partners * Partner closely with business stakeholders (Product, Business Operations, Finance, Marketing, etc.) to identify and capitalize on opportunities for improved supporter retention **Essential Capabilities** * Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or related field * At least 3 years of Data Analysis experience * High-level analytical skills with the ability to apply business acumen to data analysis and recommendations * Ability to think critically, analyze and interpret first-party and third-party data * Experience working with large data sets and deciphering data patterns using multiple data sources and tools * Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker * Strong scientific and technical skills to handle issues, analyze the root cause, quickly come up with potential solutions, detail the changes, and communicate authoritative impact * Evident experience in specifying data requirements, data architecture, data governance (normalization, cleansing, and validation) **Preferred Capabilities** * Experience in the streaming media industry, as well as supporting a direct-to-consumer or membership-based product * Experience presenting and contributing to data stories that are shared with key stakeholders **About blithequark** blithequark is a leading entertainment and media company that's revolutionizing the way we experience storytelling.
