Type: Direct to Work from Home | Fully Remote
Schedules:
• Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM (local time) OR
• Sunday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (local time)
Training Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CT

POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Pharmacist Advisor is responsible for dispensing prescriptions and coordinating clinical services for specialty drugs. This includes reviewing and completing prior authorization (PA) criteria, verifying prescriptions for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
You will interact with healthcare professionals to support patient care coordination and communicate directly with patients and providers to resolve prescription issues. This is a fully remote, non–patient-facing role that supports.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review and complete prior authorization requests per policy and procedure.
• Review patient profiles for potential drug interactions, sensitivities, and contraindications.
• Determine when physician clarification or intervention is required.
• Accurately enter and verify prescriptions in the system.
• Dispense prescription medication and perform final dispensing quality checks.
• Collaborate with other pharmacists and team members to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy operations.
• Communicate with patients and physicians to resolve medication-related issues.
• Maintain security and compliance standards for controlled substances and hazardous waste disposal.
• Process EA (External Adjudication) queue orders as needed.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Prior Authorization (PA) or Clinical Case Review experience in a high-volume or production environment required.
• Specialty or commercial pharmacy experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success meeting production targets and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Strong ability to multitask across multiple clinical and administrative systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with both clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Ability to explain large employment gaps if present.
REMOTE WORK REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must:

• Have a private, secure, and dedicated workspace for business use during working hours.
• Be available on camera during training and team meetings.
• Lock or shut down workstation when not in use.
• Have a smartphone for VPN token access.
• Reside in a stable living environment conducive to remote work.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in state of residence required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a pharmacist.
• High School Diploma or GED (verifiable).

• Option 1: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM (local time)
• Option 2: Sunday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (local time)
• Training: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CT
