[Remote] Alt. Investments – Business Analyst
                                Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. QBA Worldwide is seeking a Business Analyst with extensive experience in financial services, particularly in Alternative Investments. The role involves bridging business stakeholders and technical teams, managing requirements for investment workflows, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical implementation.
Responsibilities
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams during modernization of the Alt. Investments platform.
• Elicit, document, and manage business and system requirements for investment workflows, data integration, and automation features.
• Collaborate with Java, AWS, and UI (Angular) engineers to ensure business objectives align with technical implementation.
• Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities to reduce manual touchpoints.
• Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and business process maps aligned with Agile Scrum practices.
• Work with QA, DevOps, and Data teams to validate integration points (Oracle, APIs, AWS services).
• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing), ensuring solutions meet investment operations and compliance needs.
• Track progress through Jira/Agile tools, report blockers, and coordinate sprint deliverables.
• Provide documentation and training to support the new platform rollout.
Skills
• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, ideally within Alternative Investments, Brokerage, or FinTech.
• Strong understanding of investment operations workflows, including fund subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, and distributions.
• Proven experience writing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flow diagrams.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum environments alongside Java and AWS engineering teams.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills (Oracle preferred).
• Experience integrating with API-based platforms and data-driven systems.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud technologies and DevOps toolchains (EKS, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform).
• Knowledge of Java-based backend systems and Angular front-end frameworks.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools like Splunk and Datadog.
• Prior exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and data governance in financial institutions.
• Domain knowledge in alternative investments (private equity, hedge funds, real estate funds, etc.).
• Experience working on modernization or platform migration projects.
