Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced and skilled Remote Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you'll be responsible for contributing to the growth and success of our firm by providing expert engineering and design services in HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Process, and Utility Engineering. Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Mechanical Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Contributing to the growth and success of our firm by providing expert engineering and design services in HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Process, and Utility Engineering.
  • Executing engineering and design duties as required to ensure quality products and meet client expectations.
  • Leading and mentoring team members to expand their capabilities and contributions, and contributing to the growth of the team.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments, codes, and standards to ensure that our designs and solutions are current and compliant.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working for an MEP Engineering Firm or an AE Firm, with a strong background in HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Process, and Utility Engineering.
  • A Professional Engineering (PE) License, or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Current/Active NCEES registration in good standing.
  • Proficiency in REVIT and other relevant design software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
  • Experience working on large-scale projects, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific software, such as Autodesk, SolidWorks, or other relevant tools.
  • A strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams, with a strong track record of developing and implementing training programs.
