Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance existing company services, programs, and systems, using domain-driven design and test-driven development, to ensure they remain efficient, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, identifying and implementing solutions that minimize downtime and ensure seamless operations.
  • Create detailed project specifications, requirements, and estimates, ensuring that all projects are well-planned, executed, and delivered on time.
  • Research and implement new technologies to enhance current processes, security, and performance, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software development.
  • Support the development of coding standards and adhere to best practices and security guidelines, ensuring that all code is of high quality, maintainable, and secure.
  • Work closely with software architects and technical leads to ensure that technical decisions meet long-term company growth needs, aligning with our strategic objectives and vision.

Essential Qualifications: Education & Prior Job Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
  • 5 years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale programs in hosted production environments, with a focus on full-stack development and cloud technology.
  • 5 years of professional, design, and open-source experience, with a strong portfolio of projects that demonstrate your skills and expertise.

Preferred Qualifications: Education & Prior Job Experience

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
  • 7 years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and to a high standard.
  • Airline Industry experience, with knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by airlines, and how technology can be leveraged to drive success.

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Proficiency in Full Stack Development, with experience in designing, developing, and implementing large-scale programs and systems.
  • Proficiency and proven experience with the following technologies:
    • Front-end: Angular 10+, CSS, cross-browser compatible software development.
    • Web Services: RESTful API development using the .NET stack, object-oriented design strategies, and principles.
    • Database and persistence frameworks: Object/Relational mapping, query performance tuning, SQL Server.
    • Understanding of cloud-native development, deployment, and orchestration: microservice architecture patterns, containers, Azure cloud.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented design strategies and principles, with experience in applying these principles to real-world problems.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies, including SCRUM, with a strong understanding of how to apply these methodologies to drive team collaboration and delivery.
  • Experience in DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
