Job Summary:
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer with strong expertise in Vulnerability Management (VM), Cloud Security, and Scripting/Automation. The ideal candidate will play a key role in strengthening the organization's security posture by identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities across complex cloud and hybrid environments.
This is a long-term remote contract opportunity with one of our prestigious clients
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support Vulnerability Management Operations (VMOPS) across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Perform end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle management: identification, validation, prioritization, remediation tracking, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools (using Python, PowerShell, or similar) to streamline vulnerability scanning and reporting processes.
• Integrate and optimize VM tools with Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Collaborate with DevOps, IT, and Security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and improve overall system security.
• Build and maintain dashboards and metrics to track risk trends and remediation progress.
• Support and enhance security configurations, patch management, and compliance monitoring.
• Document procedures, technical guides, and operational runbooks.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 5 8 years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Vulnerability Management tools (e.g., Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, or Prisma).
• Deep understanding of Cloud Security (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Knowledge of API integration, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with network and endpoint security controls, patching, and compliance standards (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with security reporting and dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI, Splunk).
• Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
Nice to Have:
• Exposure to MS Azure Security Services (Entra, Data Factory, Power BI, Data Lake).
• Experience with DevSecOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Relevant certifications: CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or Microsoft Security Engineer.
