About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Part-Time Financial Controller to join our team and play a key role in enhancing the financial health of Datamaran. Reporting directly to our Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you'll be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring that all financial practices align with regulations and standards. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in finance who enjoys working part-time while making a significant impact on the company's financial strategies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to align financial goals
  • Monitor financial performance and provide insights and recommendations to the management team
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and manage tax filings
  • Support the CFO in strategic financial planning and decision-making
  • Manage cash flow and working capital effectively
  • Ensure compliance with tax authorities

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a controller position
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Available to work part-time hours, with flexibility
  • Strong knowledge of tax obligations and deadlines

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in a SaaS or technology company is a plus
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred
