**Experienced Part-Time Bilingual Project Associate – Agricultural Safety and Health Research**

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Bilingual Project Associate to join our team in the Ethnographic and Qualitative (EQUAL) Mixed Methods Laboratory in the Department of Biobehavioral Health. As a key member of our research team, you will play a vital role in supporting the success of our agricultural safety and health project, which focuses on predominantly Spanish-speaking Latino/a farmworkers and Haitian farmworkers. If you are fluent in English and Spanish or Haitian Creole, have excellent bilingual written, reading, and verbal communication skills, and are passionate about working with diverse populations, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Responsibilities and Research Project Support
- Coordinate project activities, resources, and information between the office and field
- Monitor progress and handle any issues that arise
- Be the point of contact for the project and all participants
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Interview participants in Spanish or Haitian Creole and English
- Support in recruitment of participants
- Participate in meetings and contribute to discussion regarding project activities
- Manage, reformat, enter, edit, merge, and maintain data in preparation for analysis
Key Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and requirements:
- Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in both Spanish or Haitian Creole and English
- Excellent bilingual written, reading, and verbal communication skills
- Certification in Spanish/Haitian Creole/English translation preferred but not required
- Strong work ethic
- Detail-oriented organizational skills
- Positive problem-solving attitude
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience working with community organizations and diverse populations
- Experience working with Latino/a communities
- Experience working with Haitian communities
- Demonstrated knowledge of agricultural labor is a plus
- Experience in research or evaluation, interviewing, in-person interviewing, focus groups, or other qualitative methods (preferred)
- Ability to travel to agricultural regions
- Current location in Berks, Chester, Delaware, or Lancaster counties preferred
