Key Responsibilities

As an Overnight Stocking Coach for non-complex operations, your role will be multifaceted, challenging, and rewarding. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leadership and Development: Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. This includes touring stores, providing feedback through the Tour-to-Teach method, and collaborating with all levels of associates on store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates, following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manage and support customer service initiatives, ensure customer needs are met, and develop action plans to correct deficiencies and improve the customer experience.
  • Financial Performance and Sales: Drive the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing budgets, forecasting expenses, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation and operational processes. Develop and implement plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Supervision and Development: Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, and ensuring diversity and inclusion awareness. Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
  • Coordination and Compliance: Coordinate job-related activities, develop relationships with key stakeholders, support plans and initiatives, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Implement action plans related to the company's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
