Key Responsibilities
As an Asset Protection Operations Coach, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties that are critical to the success of our retail operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Driving sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, assessing economic trends and community needs, overseeing the stocking and rotation of merchandise, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise
- Leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback
- Modeling and demonstrating exceptional customer service standards to store associates, managing and supporting customer service initiatives, and ensuring customer needs are successfully resolved
- Providing supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and setting clear expectations
- Controlling the unexplained loss of merchandise and improving profitability by identifying and communicating performance goals and objectives, building accountability for policies and procedures, and measuring adherence to loss prevention policies
- Detecting, deterring, investigating, and resolving violations of company policies and criminal activities, including investigating alleged fraud and other alleged illegal activities
- Monitoring safety and risk controls within facilities, ensuring an effective safety program is in place, supervising safety team members, and identifying accident trends to develop and implement solutions
- Managing facility-level training and execution of asset protection, safety, and claims and receiving procedures, reviewing the application of policies and procedures, and identifying gaps in expectations versus training
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications:
- Completion of 2 years of college
- Or 1 year's experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment
- Or 1 year's experience in one of the following areas: accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi-department environment
- Or 2 years' experience in asset protection or related area
- Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection
- Acquisition of a current, state-issued Certificate of Eligibility, if applicable
- Successful completion of criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training, if applicable
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will make you a stronger candidate for this role:
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
- Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
- Certification in an asset protection-related field, such as Loss Prevention Qualified or Loss Prevention Certified
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including responsibility for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing
- Investigative experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Criminal Justice
