Position Overview
The Federation Engineer will play a critical role in migrating applications from a legacy Okta platform to our client's standard PingFederate platform. This involves meeting with application teams and vendors, configuring connections, and adjusting tiles in Okta and PingOne. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of identity and access management principles, solid knowledge of federation platform features and functionalities, and hands-on experience with federation administration, configuration, and customization.
Key Responsibilities
- Migration of applications from a legacy Okta platform to the client's standard PingFederate platform, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaboration with application teams and vendors to understand requirements, configure connections, and adjust tiles in Okta and PingOne, promoting effective communication and stakeholder management.
- Utilization of federation technologies to enhance identity and access management capabilities, including user lifecycle management, Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), to ensure the security and integrity of the client's systems.
- Integration of federation technologies with enterprise systems, such as Active Directory, HR systems, and cloud applications, to create a cohesive and efficient IT infrastructure.
- Provision of expert technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders, ensuring that federation technologies are leveraged to their full potential and that any issues are promptly resolved.
Essential Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in federation technologies, with a strong focus on PingFederate and Okta.
- Proven experience as a Federation Engineer or similar role, with a deep understanding of identity and access management principles and practices.
