We pride ourselves on a culture of continuous learning, entrepreneurial spirit, and a relentless commitment to customer success. By joining our remote sales force, you become a critical extension of that mission—delivering not just products, but trusted technical expertise that fuels our clients’ competitive advantage.

Position Overview

This full‑time, remote‑first role is based in Los Angeles, CA, but can be performed from the comfort of your home office. As a Senior Electronic Component Sales Representative, you will own a defined portfolio of strategic accounts while actively prospecting new business opportunities across the United States. You will blend deep technical knowledge with polished consultative selling techniques to position our extensive component catalog as the solution of choice for engineers, procurement specialists, and C‑level decision‑makers. Success is measured by revenue growth, market penetration, and the strength of the relationships you build.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect Development: Identify, qualify, and engage new prospects through targeted outreach, industry events, webinars, and digital lead‑generation tools.
  • Strategic Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, conducting regular business reviews, forecasting demand, and delivering value‑added recommendations.
  • Technical Solution Selling: Leverage deep product knowledge to recommend optimal component selections, provide design‑in support, and coordinate engineering assistance when needed.
  • Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Alignment: Partner with internal sourcing, application engineering, supply‑chain, and marketing teams to develop compelling proposals and win‑win pricing structures.
  • Negotiation & Deal Closure: Conduct price negotiations, manage contract terms, and ensure timely order processing while maintaining profitability targets.
  • Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor moves, and emerging technology standards to adjust sales tactics and inform product strategy.
  • CRM Stewardship: Accurately record all sales activities, pipeline stages, and customer interactions within our CRM platform to enable data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue quotas, maintain a healthy pipeline, and achieve high customer satisfaction scores.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of proven sales experience in the electronic components, semiconductor, or related high‑tech distribution industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to close complex, high‑value deals, with a track record of meeting or surpassing quota.
  • Strong familiarity with major CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho) and the discipline to keep records up‑to‑date.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a talent for translating technical specifications into business value.
  • Highly organized, deadline‑driven, and detail‑oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Positive, collaborative mindset and a demonstrated commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States and ability to pass background and eligibility verification.

Preferred (But Not Mandatory) Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience selling to OEMs, original design manufacturers (ODMs), or large system integrators.
  • Existing book of business or established network of contacts within the electronics design community.
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Sales Professional (CSP) or relevant technical training (e.g., IPC, IEEE).
  • Exposure to supply‑chain management concepts, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization.
  • Fluency in a second language (Spanish, Mandarin, etc.) that could open additional market segments.

Core Skills & Competencies for Success

  • Consultative Selling: Ability to act as a trusted advisor, uncovering client pain points and aligning product solutions accordingly.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with component specifications, datasheets, and application frameworks, enabling effective design‑in support.
  • Negotiation & Persuasion: Skilled at crafting win‑win agreements while protecting margin and ensuring compliance with pricing policies.
  • Strategic Thinking: Capable of analyzing market data and translating insights into actionable sales initiatives.
  • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to nurture long‑term partnerships with engineers, procurement leaders, and executive sponsors.
  • Self‑Motivation & Discipline: Ability to thrive in a remote environment, set personal goals, and stay accountable without direct supervision.
  • Problem‑Solving: Quick to identify obstacles in the sales cycle and resourceful in developing creative solutions.
