Role Overview – Counseling Center Clinician (Remote & Hybrid)
We are seeking passionate, licensed mental health professionals to join our Counseling Center as Full‑Time or Part‑Time Clinicians. This role blends remote work flexibility with optional on‑site presence at our modern, amenity‑rich office on Route 9. You will deliver short‑term, solution‑focused therapy to adult individuals and couples referred by our EAP staff, using a variety of evidence‑based modalities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct 45‑minute counseling sessions via secure telephone or video platforms, maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide solution‑focused, short‑term treatment that aligns with each client’s specific goals, typically ranging from 3 to 8 sessions as defined by the employer’s EAP contract.
- Perform comprehensive intake assessments to identify client needs, risk factors, and appropriate levels of care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members—including EAP coordinators, case managers, and external providers—to ensure seamless referral pathways for clients requiring additional support.
- Document all sessions, assessments, and care plans in KGA’s electronic health record system with accuracy and timeliness.
- Stay current with evolving best practices in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma‑informed care, substance misuse counseling, and multicultural competency.

- Education: A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted licensure as an LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) or LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) in Massachusetts; higher‑level licensure (e.g., PhD, PsyD) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years post‑graduate clinical experience delivering individual or couples therapy in an EAP, private practice, or community mental health setting.
- Therapeutic Foundations: Strong grounding in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and solution‑focused brief therapy techniques.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using telehealth platforms, electronic health records, and secure communication tools.
