Overview This remote, Part-time Copy Editor role supports the content quality and publishing workflow of a leading sports, pop culture, and technology media outlet. Type: Part time hours (around 20 per week), contract, remote Schedule: EST time zone required Duration: 12 months Pay: $40 - $44/hr, paid weekly Part-time Copy Editor Requirements • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a copy editor for a daily or high-volume publication (required). • Strong command of both Chicago and AP style guides. • Expertise in editing for grammar, punctuation, tone, and clarity under tight deadlines. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced editorial environment. • Experience working with digital media and proficiency in WordPress or similar CMS platforms. • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and editorial judgment. • Preferred: Familiarity with sports, pop culture, and multimedia content editing.
