Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2025-11-03

Join a Leading Healthcare Innovator

Welcome to a company that’s reshaping how hospitals and health systems manage, analyze, and purchase medical products. Based in the vibrant Dallas‑Fort Worth metro area, we have built a reputation for excellence through data‑driven decision‑making, cutting‑edge technology, and a culture that values collaboration, continuous learning, and the wellbeing of both patients and employees. While our headquarters sit in Texas, many of our critical roles—including this one—are performed remotely, giving you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while staying connected to a national network of healthcare professionals.

Position Summary: What You’ll Do

We are seeking a Remote Clinical Data Analyst who brings a unique blend of clinical expertise (LVN or RN) and strong analytical abilities. In this role you will be the bridge between hands‑on patient care knowledge and the data‑centric processes that power our product‑classification engine. Your primary mission is to cleanse, categorize, and validate millions of medical product records, ensuring that purchasing teams across the country can select the right supplies quickly, accurately, and cost‑effectively. This is a six‑month contract with the potential to extend based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Cleansing & Validation: Perform rigorous data cleaning using Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools to remove duplicates, correct errors, and standardize formats.
  • Product Classification: Analyze and assign each medical product to the appropriate category and sub‑category, aligning with industry standards and internal taxonomy.
  • Internet Research & Verification: Conduct targeted web searches to verify product specifications, manufacturer details, and regulatory compliance information.
  • Collaboration with Clinical Teams: Leverage your LVN/RN background to interpret clinical usage data, ensuring that classifications reflect real‑world hospital practices.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Produce clear documentation of classification rules, data‑quality metrics, and process improvements for internal stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring data quality issues, propose systematic solutions, and help implement automation where feasible.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of accuracy while handling repetitive tasks, recognizing that even small errors can impact procurement decisions.
  • Learning Agility: Embrace new software tools, data‑management platforms, and analytical techniques as the project evolves.

Essential Qualifications

  • Current or recent certification as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of experience in an acute‑care hospital environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with a wide range of Med/Surg equipment (IV tubing, ports, monitoring devices, ostomy supplies, etc.).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, macros) and comfortable with data import/export processes.
  • Strong internet research skills, including the ability to locate, evaluate, and synthesize product information from manufacturer websites, FDA databases, and peer‑reviewed sources.
  • Exceptional logical reasoning and categorization abilities; comfortable building classification frameworks from the ground up.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for translating technical data into clear, actionable insights for non‑technical audiences.
  • High tolerance for repetitive, detail‑oriented work while maintaining accuracy and consistency over long periods.
  • Self‑motivated, disciplined, and able to thrive in a fully remote setting with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a service‑industry role (e.g., customer support, technical service) that required systematic problem‑solving and documentation.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as UDI (Unique Device Identifier), HCPCS, or LOINC.
  • Exposure to data‑visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) or basic statistical software (R, Python‑pandas).
  • Previous involvement in product‑classification or inventory‑management projects within a hospital supply chain.
  • Certification or training in data‑quality management, such as a Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) credential.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to dissect complex data sets, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Clinical Insight: Deep understanding of hospital workflows, patient care pathways, and how medical devices are utilized on the floor.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel, familiarity with cloud‑based data storage (Google Drive, SharePoint), and basic knowledge of SQL or database concepts.
  • Curiosity & Questioning: Natural drive to ask “why” and “how” when data appears inconsistent, leading to more robust solutions.
  • Time Management: Efficiently prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and balance multiple data streams simultaneously.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, procurement analysts, and IT specialists across time zones.
  • Adaptability: Quickly adopt new tools, processes, and project scopes as the organization evolves.

Career Development & Learning Opportunities

Although this is initially a six‑month engagement, we view every analyst as a potential long‑term partner. Successful candidates will have access to a curated learning path that includes:

  • Paid enrollment in industry‑recognized certifications (e.g., CDMP, Certified Clinical Data Manager).
  • Monthly virtual “Data Deep‑Dive” workshops led by senior analysts and data engineers.
  • Mentorship programs pairing you with senior clinicians who have transitioned into health‑informatics roles.
  • Opportunities to lead cross‑functional projects that influence national purchasing strategies.
  • Pathways to more senior analytical roles, product‑strategy positions, or health‑technology consulting.

Our commitment is to ensure that you not only contribute to immediate project goals but also build a skill set that fuels a sustainable, upward‑moving career in health data analytics.

Work Environment & Culture

Our remote workforce is united by a shared purpose: improving patient outcomes through smarter procurement. We foster a culture built on:

  • Transparency: Open communication channels, regular town‑hall meetings, and clear visibility into project milestones.
  • Collaboration: Virtual “break‑room” sessions, cross‑team hackathons, and collaborative document platforms that encourage idea sharing.
  • Well‑Being: Flexible scheduling, mental‑health resources, and a stipend for home‑office ergonomics.
  • Recognition: Quarterly awards for data‑quality champions and peer‑nominated “Innovation Spotlights.”
  • Inclusivity: A diverse workforce that values different perspectives, ensuring that the solutions we build serve a broad patient population.

Compensation, Perks & Benefits

While the exact salary range will be disclosed during the interview process, you can expect a competitive compensation package that reflects both your clinical background and analytical expertise. In addition to base pay, we offer:

  • Performance‑based bonuses tied to project milestones and data‑quality improvements.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans (with employer contribution).
  • Retirement savings options, including a 401(k) match.
  • Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays to support work‑life balance.
  • Professional development budget for conferences, courses, and certifications.
  • Remote‑work stipend covering internet, phone, and home‑office supplies.
  • Employee assistance programs (EAP) for counseling, financial advice, and wellness activities.
