About the 2025 Early Career Program - Corporate Finance & Risk Rotational Program

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for talented and ambitious individuals to join our Corporate Finance organization through our 2025 Early Career Program - Corporate Finance & Risk Rotational Program. This two-year rotational position provides the chance to work in a variety of accounting, risk, and financial divisions, gaining the knowledge and skills necessary to build a rewarding career in finance. As a rotational program participant, you will have the opportunity to learn about Guardian, get hands-on experience in how finance, audit, and risk are integral partners to all areas of our business, and develop a deep understanding of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparations for various reports, work papers, provisions, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Support the preparation of State filings, quarterly financial statements, and year-end accounting functions, contributing to the smooth operation of our financial processes.
  • Help team leads with the year-end and month-end planning process, providing analytical support and insights to inform business decisions.
  • Assist with completing and responding to various audit requests, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Track and report expenses, perform expense analysis, financial statement analysis, journal entries, import bank feeds, process bank reconciliations, and undertake various accounting functions, ensuring the integrity of our financial data.
  • Support analytical projects related to liquidity, capital, and hedging risk management, developing your skills in financial analysis and planning.
  • Contribute to the development of reports in Oracle, leveraging your technical skills to enhance our financial reporting capabilities.
  • Participate in process improvement projects to enhance risk, accounting, and reporting efficiencies, driving innovation and excellence in our financial operations.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Audit, Risk, or Mathematics, demonstrating a strong foundation in financial principles and concepts.
  • A high level of comfort with finance and accounting principles, including financial statement analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions to complex financial challenges.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver timely results, working effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Oracle General Ledger and SmartView is a plus, as is experience with other financial software and systems.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable:

  • Relevant work experience or internships in finance, accounting, or a related field, providing a practical understanding of financial concepts and practices.
  • Professional certifications, such as CPA, CFA, or CMA, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Experience with data analysis and financial modeling, including the use of tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Python.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $57,810.00 - $86,715.00, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to your salary, you will be eligible for a range of benefits, including:
