Job Overview and Responsibilities

As a Senior Director of Digital Fulfillment, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our e-commerce business. This part-time, remote position offers a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the in-club experience team through the development of strategies and processes for targeting key drivers and metrics related to omni-channel fulfillment
  • Managing policies and procedures for identifying, rewarding, and recognizing collaboration and teamwork
  • Directing and leading key initiatives related to improvements in the e-commerce fulfillment experience, such as delivery from club (DFC), club pickup (CPU), and ship from club (SFC)
  • Overseeing KPIs across in-club fulfillment channels (pickup, delivery, ship from club)
  • Evaluating strategic partnerships and collaborations with cross-functional partners to enhance the fulfillment experience for our customers
  • Working with core business processes and initiatives across various Sam's Club business functions (e.g., product, technology, marketing, and supply chain functions)
  • Leading a high-performing team that focuses on the member in all decisions by providing vision clarity, strategic thought leadership, setting high performance expectations, and identifying emerging trends to ensure Sam's Club has the right omni-channel member experience to address trends that align with the business model and member expectations

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a unique blend of skills, experience, and personal qualities. These include:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, design, operations, or a related field, and at least 6 years of experience in operations, project management, or a related area, or 8 years of experience in operations, project management, or a related area
  • 4 years of managerial experience
  • Knowledge of omni-channel operations to drive the team and get practical partners through strategic, high-visibility projects
  • A customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering improved processes for our members
  • Strategic thinking, the ability to look at the long term, and the willingness to make tough decisions
  • The ability to simultaneously manage multiple, complex initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and insights and then adapt business and technical needs
  • Experience influencing others, managing stakeholders, getting buy-in from leadership, and communicating clearly and professionally
  • Enthusiasm for addressing challenges and adapting to changing needs and business priorities

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable:

  • Experience in e-commerce, digital fulfillment, or a related field
  • Knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, or a related area
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
