Our Data Engineering team is a dynamic and collaborative group of experts who are passionate about building scalable and efficient data pipelines to unlock actionable insights in real-time. Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Application Development team to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual data models.
  • Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and support application, batch, and interactive use cases.
  • Create, optimize, and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects according to company standards.
  • Create data modeling solutions optimized for relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases.
  • Maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models along with corresponding metadata.
  • Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models.
  • Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new environments.
  • Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts.
  • Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies.
  • Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Guide System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers, and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.
  • Review modifications to existing software to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Examine new application design and recommend corrections if required.

About You

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced data modeler who can bring their expertise to our team. If you have a passion for data science, a strong academic record, and a minimum of 10+ years of hands-on data warehousing experience, we want to hear from you!

Requirements

  • Good academic record and graduated (B.E/ B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech/ MBA)
  • At least 10+ years of hand-on data warehousing experience
  • Strong knowledge of different data modeling techniques for data warehousing - 3NF, Dimensional, hybrid, etc.
  • Experience working on large (100 TB+) scale data warehouses (DW)/ operational data stores (ODS)
  • Significant experience in building data models for MPP, Relational, and NoSQL technologies such as BigData, Hive, SQL*Server, Hadoop, Cassandra, Cloud DBs like Big Query and/or Snowflake
  • Good experience of working with globally distributed teams in a collaborative and productive manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across a variety of stakeholders, ability to negotiate with and influence others

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data Modeling, Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Relevant industry experience (for example, retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare, etc.)
