Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Directly assisting pharmacists with the processing of prescriptions, including data entry and verification of patient information
  • Communicating effectively with physicians, insurance companies, and patients to resolve issues and provide updates on prescription status
  • Utilizing your excellent data entry skills to accurately and efficiently process prescriptions, while maintaining high levels of productivity in a fast-paced environment
  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, including patient files and prescription information

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with a strong background in data entry and customer service
  • Pharmacy Technician certification in the state of GA (or ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe)
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (or ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe)
  • Proven data entry skills, with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, pharmacists, and insurance providers
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Specialty pharmacy experience, with a strong understanding of complex medications and therapies
  • Claims settlement experience, with the ability to communicate effectively with prescribers regarding case status and review prescription claim issues
  • Experience working in a high-volume pharmacy environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities

Education and Training

The following education and training are required for this role:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred, but not essential)
  • Completion of a pharmacy technician training program (or ability to complete a training program within a specified timeframe)
