Position Overview

The Frontend Coach position is a unique opportunity to lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. You will be responsible for touring stores, providing feedback, communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates, and introducing and leading company change efforts. Your exceptional customer service standards will serve as a model for store associates, and you will be responsible for managing and supporting customer service initiatives, ensuring customer needs are met, and developing action plans to correct deficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, and provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates, manage and support customer service initiatives, and ensure customer needs are successfully resolved.
  • Drive financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing expenses, and developing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and ensuring diversity and inclusion awareness.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments, develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity, and provide direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required.
  • For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including responsibility for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
