Position Overview

The Senior UiPath RPA Developer will design, develop, and maintain sophisticated automation solutions that streamline complex business processes for our clients. You will own end‑to‑end automation projects, from requirement gathering and solution architecture through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. This role works directly with the Catalyst professional services team and collaborates closely with solution architects, data scientists, and client stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with existing IT ecosystems.

While the position is fully remote, you will align with Central Time Zone business hours to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and client partners. We welcome candidates on an H‑1B visa but do not consider C2C engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Lead the design and development of end‑to‑end automation workflows that interact with IMAP inboxes, SQL databases, web applications, REST APIs, and UiPath AI Center machine‑learning models.
  • Solution Architecture: Define scalable, secure, and maintainable automation architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and governance policies.
  • Code Quality & Governance: Establish and enforce coding standards for citizen developers and RPA teams, conduct peer reviews, and publish reusable components for attended and unattended automation.
  • Orchestrator Administration: Manage standalone Windows Server environments, including license allocation, user access policies, and health monitoring of UiPath Orchestrator instances.
  • Database Management: Oversee Microsoft SQL Server instances, design efficient data models, and implement data‑driven automation logic.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Prioritize workload, provide regular status updates to management and internal customers, and translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach junior RPA developers, conduct workshops on best practices, and contribute to the internal knowledge base.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify automation opportunities, measure ROI, and iterate solutions to increase efficiency and reliability.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of professional IT experience, with a strong emphasis on automation, integration, or software development.
  • At least 3 years of hands‑on UiPath development, including experience with UiPath Studio, Robots, Orchestrator, Action Center, AI Center, and Document Understanding.
  • Proficiency in SQL (query writing, stored procedures, performance tuning) and HTML for web‑based automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business problems, design automation solutions, and deliver results quickly.
  • Possession of a UiPath Professional‑Level Certification (or equivalent demonstrable expertise).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred (Nice‑to‑Have) Skills & Experience

  • Experience with UiPath Server Administration and Microsoft SQL Server administration.
  • Knowledge of Python scripting, RESTful APIs, and ETL tools for data extraction and transformation.
  • Familiarity with data‑visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Understanding of virtual machine (VM) environments, IMAP protocols, and secure credential management tools like CyberArk.
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts, especially within UiPath AI Center, for intelligent document processing and predictive automation.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Problem‑Solving Mindset: Ability to break down complex processes, identify bottlenecks, and create elegant automation solutions.
  • Ownership & Accountability: Take full responsibility for the lifecycle of automation projects, from conception to production support.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Work effectively with cross‑functional teams, influence best practices, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑paced, remote environment, quickly adapting to new technologies and client demands.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure high‑quality, error‑free code and maintain rigorous testing standards.
