About the position
Responsibilities
• Design the course aligned to SHSU's mission and outcomes for online delivery.
• Work with the Project Manager and SHSU Online to meet development goals and timelines.
• Identify and curate course materials, including open educational resources (OER).
• Edit lesson-level learning checks and review content for alignment with learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with SHSU Online to develop media-rich lessons, including video lectures and infographics.
• Design and develop industry-related assessment tasks and relevant scenarios.
Requirements
• Master's degree in criminal justice, criminology, or a closely related field; Ph.D. preferred.
• Strong background in criminal justice and criminology.
• Expertise in the specific course topic to be developed.
• Teaching experience in an institution of higher education preferred.
