**Job Summary**
As a Remote Healthcare Billing and Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in helping patients and their families understand their medical bills and resolve account balances. You will work as an extended business office representative on behalf of our clients, using your exceptional communication skills, empathy, and attention to detail to provide outstanding customer service. **Key Responsibilities:**
* Using empathy and fantastic listening, verbal, and written communication skills to help patients and their families understand confusing, and often times unexpected, medical bills.
* Providing outstanding customer service and collaborating with patients over the phone on affordable payment plans, and taking payments by phone.
* Using your computer proficiency, organization, and attention to detail to accurately document all calls and follow-ups in our software systems throughout each day.
* Supporting your fellow team members with consistent attendance, excellent work ethic, and caring team focus.
* Continuously improving, with supportive coaching / feedback from your manager and team leads and ongoing training.
**Essential Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
* 1-2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field.
* Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
* Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience in medical billing or healthcare customer service.
* Certification in customer service or a related field.
* Bilingual or multilingual skills.

* Competitive base annual pay ranging from $37,440 - $43,680 based on prior experience.
