About the Role

As a Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences at the ticket counter, baggage service office, and gate area. You'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers, setting the tone for their travel experience. Your role will involve providing top-notch customer service, resolving issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our flight processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and courteous support to internal and external customers, maintaining positive relationships and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Work collaboratively as a team member to drive the success of blithequark, adhering to our company values and mission.
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and address concerns in a timely and professional manner, utilizing our electronic retail point system, boarding, baggage service, and reservations.
  • Process transactions, manage cash, checks, credit cards, and other forms of payment, and balance daily transactions.
  • Check in baggage and freight, answer phone calls, and provide information to customers, resolving issues and addressing concerns.
  • Manage customer issues related to oversales, delayed or canceled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, and resolve problems promptly and within company guidelines.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information on flight schedules, reservations, and other travel-related queries.
  • Complete forms and reports as required, and write anomaly and complaint reports as needed.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as directed by management, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed as a Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • The ability to type or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet the demands of the role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • The capacity to work under pressure, handling stressful situations and tight deadlines.
  • Awareness of hazardous situations and the ability to respond to emergencies as needed.
  • A well-groomed appearance, adhering to our Ground Operations Employee Handbook and Work Agreement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey information and instructions clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will enhance your application:

  • Previous customer service experience, particularly in the aviation or travel industry.
  • Familiarity with airline operations, including check-in, baggage handling, and boarding procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office and other relevant tools.
