About the Role

As a Product Compliance Analyst II, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organization's compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. You will be responsible for maintaining relationships with regulatory commissions and authorities, assessing internal controls, and developing programs to manage complaint cases. Your expertise will be crucial in advancing our organization's positions with internal and external stakeholders, preparing testimony for governmental or regulatory agencies, and reviewing business practices to ensure compliance with pertinent regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise and maintain product compliance awareness among development and product teams, ensuring adherence to regulatory governing bodies and product requirements.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of compliance-related projects and governing requirements, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) in key decision-making processes.
  • Articulate the value add of compliance projects to internal stakeholders and customers, ensuring awareness and operational adherence to compliance-related product changes.
  • Support a proactive approach to investigating and resolving potential product compliance issues, identifying areas for additional support or investigation.
  • Educate and inform collaborative teams on compliance best practices, prioritizing compliance stories, defects, and requirements in the shared backlog.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory developments, attending employee development opportunities to enhance your knowledge base on compliance topics.
  • Establish and maintain regulatory policies, ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System and relevant Medical Device Directives and Regulations.
  • Manage preparation for regulatory body audits, working across departments to achieve goals relative to regulatory compliance.
  • Provide regulatory guidance to product development teams, monitoring global regulatory developments and communicating significant issues to management.
  • Develop and implement training required for regulatory compliance, serving as a point of contact for certification bodies and escalated client complaints.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in nursing, law, healthcare administration, or a related field of study.
  • 4+ years of experience working within healthcare compliance, with a strong understanding of regulatory rules and requirements.
  • Experience in risk management or regulatory audit in the healthcare space is preferred.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to convey complex information effectively.
  • Legal and/or compliance certification(s) are preferred, such as HCCA or IAPP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • A self-directed and solution-oriented approach, with a high level of work effort consistency and follow-through.
