Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Support and Data Entry Specialist to join our team at blithequark. As a hybrid role, you will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound customer service inquiries, reviewing and assessing incoming referrals, and entering data into our database system. Your primary goal will be to provide timely and effective solutions to customers, while maintaining the highest level of quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming customer service inquiries from patients, prescribers, insurance companies, external partners, or internal partners via telephone, email, or other communication channels
  • Research and resolve problems in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues as necessary to ensure prompt resolution
  • Create and edit patient records in the database system, entering demographics, insurance information, and prescription data from incoming referrals
  • Initiate outbound telephone calls to patients, prescribers, or partners to collect additional information, explain benefit investigations, or provide updates on case status
  • Attach incoming facsimile images to new or existing patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
  • Identify and escalate concerns received from patients, prescribers, partners, or insurance companies, pursuing corrective action as needed
  • Generate letters and brochures for patients, prescribers, or partners, providing clear and concise information on benefits, services, and programs
  • Document all interactions associated with patient records in the database system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information
  • Adhere to quality, production, and turnaround standards associated with assigned programs, ensuring high levels of performance and customer satisfaction
  • Report all Adverse Events (AE) disclosed in alignment with training and Standard Operational Procedures (SOP), prioritizing patient safety and well-being

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One or more years of experience in a highly skilled and fast-paced call center environment, preferably in Specialty Pharmacy, Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), Commercial Insurance, or Patient Assistance Programs
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred, but not required
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a commitment to high standards and accountability
  • Ability to type at least 35 words per minute, with general computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment, learn quickly, and work independently or as a team member

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting, with knowledge of industry-specific regulations and guidelines
  • Certification in customer service, data entry, or a related field, demonstrating expertise and commitment to professional development
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, enabling effective communication with diverse patient populations
  • Experience with database management systems, electronic health records, or other healthcare technology platforms

Compensation and Benefits
