Job Summary
As a Technical Support Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to client requests, investigating and resolving issues, automating support needs, creating runbooks, improving and maintaining support tools, and continuously seeking ways to enhance the technical support experience. You will be an integral part of our team, working closely with cross-functional groups to ensure that our clients receive the highest level of service and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to client requests in a timely and professional manner
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, using your expertise and knowledge to provide effective solutions
- Automate support needs, creating tools and scripts to improve efficiency and streamline processes
- Develop and maintain runbooks, ensuring that our support tools and processes are up-to-date and effective
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the technical support experience
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends, applying your knowledge to improve our support services and tools
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in technical support, with at least 3 years of experience in a similar position. You should have a solid understanding of form control tools, such as GitHub, and be proficient in Java, with a comprehensive understanding of the Spring Boot framework. You should also have experience with Gradle, CI/CD, and Linux, and be familiar with Docker and Debian/Ubuntu.
Essential Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in technical support, with a focus on efficiency, client care, and automation
- Solid understanding of form control tools, such as GitHub, including branching, merging, pull requests, review cycles, and conflict resolution
- Proficiency in Java, with a comprehensive understanding of the Spring Boot framework
- Experience with Gradle, including building and managing project assemblies and dependencies
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and its motivations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GRPC, including handling service-to-service IPC calls, GRPC scenarios, and knowledge of the Protobuf protocol
- Familiarity with Linux and Docker, with experience working with Debian/Ubuntu
- Experience building dashboards and working with data-driven decision making
- Knowledge of Zendesk or other ticketing systems, with experience supporting infrastructure automation
- Passion for technical documentation and tutorials, with a deep understanding of what makes an excellent knowledge base
