As a Data Entry Manager at blithequark, you will be responsible for overseeing the data entry process, ensuring that our database is populated with accurate and relevant information. You will work closely with our data team to maintain the highest standards of data quality, confidentiality, and security. Key Responsibilities

  • Data Entry and Management: Transfer data from paper formats to computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Customer Data Entry: Enter data provided directly by customers, maintaining the highest standards of data confidentiality and security.
  • Spreadsheet Creation and Management: Create and manage spreadsheets with a large number of figures, ensuring error-free data entry and maintaining data integrity.
  • Data Verification and Validation: Verify data by comparing it with source documents, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Data Retrieval and Reporting: Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
  • Data Backup and Preservation: Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation, maintaining the integrity and availability of our data.
  • Data Organization and Maintenance: Sort and organize paperwork after data entry, ensuring that data is not lost and maintaining a clean and organized data environment.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience as a data entry clerk or in a similar role, with a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Typing Skills: Fast typing ability, with a preferred knowledge of the touch typing system, ensuring efficient and accurate data entry.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet tools, including MS Office Word and Excel, with the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets.
  • Computer Hardware and Software Knowledge: Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Database Knowledge: Basic knowledge of databases, with the ability to understand and work with database concepts and structures.
  • Communication Skills: Good command of English, both oral and written, with excellent customer service skills, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct errors, ensuring the highest standards of data quality.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with a preferred degree in a relevant field, such as computer science or information management.

  • Data Management Experience: Experience in data management, with a proven track record of managing large datasets and ensuring data quality.
