About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Customer Development Manager to drive category strategies in alignment with customer priorities. As the Insights and Analytics expert supporting a Top National Customer, you'll leverage your analytical and thought leadership skills to analyze data, identify opportunities, and make recommendations that drive category and customer growth.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage data sources to monitor the field execution of vendor programs & assortments, ensuring seamless execution and optimization.
  • Communicate complex and detailed information to multiple stakeholders with varying knowledge levels, presenting insights and recommendations effectively.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices in analytics and provide actionable information to drive sales, margin, and market development goals.
  • Analyze and report data to identify trends, issues, or exceptions, driving improvement and finding solutions to optimize results.
  • Track category performance, including sales, profits, margins, and market share, to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop, communicate, execute, and monitor performance metrics and goals relevant to each business, ensuring alignment with customer priorities.
  • Create and deliver effective reports using POS data, Syndicated Data, and account-specific database information in presentation-ready formats.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and provide recommendations to enhance inventory and fill rate objectives.
  • Apply customer, consumer, and industry insights using market research data to drive category growth and deliver business results.
  • Ensure superior client satisfaction by providing in-depth analytics and contributing to team problem-solving efforts.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree and experience within the CPG sector, preferably in Adult Beverage; experience working with Costco is a valuable asset.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Expertise in category management principles, syndicated data, and shopper/consumer insights (e.g., Numerator/Spectra).
  • Understanding of National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor operations, with the ability to collaborate with external retail customers, key suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Assertive leadership and decision-making skills, with an aptitude for understanding changing market dynamics and resolving complex problems.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create effective reports and presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience working with Syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI), Internal Shipment Data, and Household Panel.
  • A proven track record of success in a similar role, with strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
