About the Role
The Director of Operations Process is a senior leadership role responsible for managing the operational aspects of our customer experience strategy. This position will partner with cross-functional teams across blithequark to ensure that operational areas are considered in project plans, and that strategic projects are deployed effectively. As a subject matter expert in operations, you will provide guidance and support to various stakeholders, including Operations Managers, Analysts, and other business leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders across blithequark to ensure operational areas are considered in project plans and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate the responsibilities of Operations Managers and Analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Operations Strategy Team to develop, staff, pilot, and implement process improvements within the stores.
- Oversee the overall project workflow and rollout schedule, ensuring timely and effective implementation.
- Measure the impact of changes and new projects on operational areas, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on operational best practices and emerging trends, applying this knowledge to drive continuous process improvement.
- Work with Field Implementation Managers to establish project metrics and tollgates, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Apply strategic thinking and process design expertise to drive successful improvements in operational areas, focusing on quick implementation and return on investment.
- Evaluate multiple project requests, aggregating data and ensuring that project needs are met.
- Lead and develop a team of professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance to support their growth and success.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field, with an MBA or equivalent preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of work experience, with 4 years of management experience at blithequark or a similar organization preferred.
- Proven financial analysis and business acumen, with a strong understanding of operations and customer experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others and leverage partnerships to benefit project objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving successful process improvements.
- Leadership and management skills, with experience in developing and motivating high-performing teams.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working in a retail or customer experience environment.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Experience with project management tools and techniques.
